Poland and Portugal are two of the most popular European countries for tourists, businessmen, and students. However, if you plan to visit either of these countries, you’ll need a visa. Locate Your Poland or Portugal Embassy
If you are a Polish or Portuguese citizen and wish to apply for a Canadian visa, there are a few things that you will need to do in order to find the correct embassy.
First, search on the internet for the correct embassy for your country. This can be done by inputting your full name and country into a search engine such as Google. Alternatively, you can contact the embassy directly and ask them which office is responsible for issuing Canadian visas.
Once you have located the embassy, it is important to visit their website and fill out an application form. The application process will vary depending on which type of visa you are seeking, but in most cases you will need to provide documentation such as your passport, birth certificate, and proof of residence. You may also be required to take an online assessment test or provide other documentation that proves your eligibility for a Canadian visa.
Once you have completed the application process, it is important to send all requested documents along with payment (if applicable) to the embassy in order to obtain your visa. It is also advisable to keep track of the processing time for your visa so that you are not left waiting too long.
Apply for an ETA
If you are a citizen of Poland or Portugal, and you want to visit Canada, you will need to apply for an ETA. An ETA is an electronic travel authorization. Before applying for an ETA, make sure that you have all of the following: your passport valid for at least six months after your planned departure from Canada; a valid visa; confirmation of your airfare tickets; proof of sufficient funds to cover your stay in Canada while waiting for your travel authorization to be issued; and a letter from your employer or educational institution documenting why you are visiting Canada.
You can apply for an ETA up to 90 days before your planned departure from Canada. If you are travelling as part of a group, each member of the group must apply for their own ETA. If you are travelling as part of a family unit, only one member of the family unit needs to apply for an ETA.
Once you have applied for an ETA, IRCC will send you a notification indicating when your travel authorization is ready. Make sure that you provide accurate information in the notification so that IRCC can process your application quickly. Once your travel Authorization is issued, make sure that you have received it in order to book your trip to Canada!
Find Your Visa Types and Requirements
If you are a citizen of Poland or Portugal, and you want to visit Canada, you will need to obtain a visa.
To get a visa to Canada, you will first need to complete the official online application process. This process can be accessed through the Canadian Embassy website.
Once you have registered an account on the Canadian Embassy website and submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email. You will then need to print out this email and bring it with you when applying for your visa at the Canadian Embassy.
The next step in obtaining your visa is to submit your application. To do this, you will need to arrive at the Canadian Embassy with all of the required documents. These documents include your confirmation email from the Canadian Embassy, your passport photo page, and your Visa Application Form (Form T2).
You will also need to pay the applicable visa fee in cash or by credit card. The visa fee for citizens of Poland and Portugal is $160 CAD each. Once all of these requirements are met, the Canadian Embassy officials will review your application and issue you a visa if it is approved.
Please note that all applicants must have a valid passport which must be valid for at least six months after your planned departure from Canada. If you are travelling as part of a group of travellers (for example, on a tour), each member of your group must have their own valid passport and visa approval must be obtained for each individual
Traveling to Canada with a Polish or Portuguese Citizen
If you are a Polish or Portuguese citizen and plan on traveling to Canada, be sure to familiarize yourself with the visa requirements for both countries.
As of February 1, 2018, Poland citizens must have a valid passport and visa in order to enter Canada. For Portuguese citizens, a visa is not required for stays of up to 90 days in a 180 day period. However, if you intend on staying longer than 90 days in a 180 day period, you will need to apply for a Canadian visitor visa.
Please note that if you are traveling to Canada as part of an organized group (such as a cruise line), your travel agent should be able to help you with the necessary paperwork. Otherwise, you can visit the Canadian Embassy or Consulate in your home country to obtain the appropriate documentation.
In addition, please remember that any items that are prohibited from entering Canada (including weapons and endangered species) will also be prohibited from entering through airports in Poland and Portugal.
