After you have received the email from the Canadian Embassy or Consulate asking for more information, you will need to submit all of the documents that they have requested. These documents can include your passport photo, copies of your identification cards, and proof of your citizenship (such as a birth certificate).

Once you have provided all of the required documents, the Canadian Embassy or Consulate will review them and may ask you to come in for an interview. If they do not require an interview, they will issue your visa.

Requirements for a Canada Visa

To be eligible for a visa to enter Canada, you must meet the requirements listed below. The government of Canada updates these requirements regularly, so make sure you read the current guidelines before applying.

  1. You must have a valid passport that is still valid at the time of your application.
  2. Your passport must be valid for at least six months after your planned departure from Canada. If you are travelling to Canada as part of an exchange program or short-term study program, your passport must be valid for at least one year after your planned departure from Canada.
  3. You will also need a visa application form and two photographs (6×4). The processing time for a visa application varies depending on your nationality and the category of visa you are applying for. Generally, however, it takes around five working days to process an application once all required documentation has been submitted. Please note that processing times may increase during peak holiday periods.
  4. If you are travelling with children who are not accompanying you on your trip to Canadá, they will need their own passports and visas if they want to travel with you to Canadá. This is due to the fact that Canadian immigration officials take child safety very seriously and do not allow children without parental supervision into the country without proper documentation
