The countries that have a visa waiver for cruise ship visitors are: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay Peru and Uruguay.
Requirements for applying for the cruise ship visa waiver include:
-A passport that is valid for at least six months after your planned departure from the country visited
-An onward ticket or reservation confirmation showing your intended voyage date and port of call in New Zealand
-Proof of sufficient funds to cover your expenses while in New Zealand (this can be a bank statement or travel insurance policy)
-A completed application form (available from the Embassy or Consulate where you are applying).

Applications for a New Zealand Visa Waiver
If you are a cruise ship visitor planning to visit New Zealand, you may be eligible for a visa waiver. The visa waiver allows short-term visitors, including cruise ship passengers, to stay in New Zealand for up to three months without a visa.

Travel with a Passport from an EU Country

The visa waiver applies to citizens of certain countries who have a valid passport and onward ticket.
